Thabit

Dr. George Thabit is a distinguished joint preservation musculoskeletal surgeon, renowned for his expertise in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder, knee, and ankle. With a specialization in cartilage and meniscus transplantation, Dr. Thabit excels in repairing and reconstructing major tendon and ligament injuries, including ACL and rotator cuff injuries, particularly in both elite and aging athletes.

Dr. Thabit is also a leader in non-surgical techniques designed to expedite normal healing and stimulate recovery in slowly or non-healing injuries. His proficiency in advanced, non-operative treatments such as ultrasound-guided PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate), viscosupplementation, and steroid injections helps improve function and enhance surgical outcomes. His focus on regenerative medicine and orthobiologics aims to delay or even avoid the need for joint replacement, aligning with his commitment to state-of-the-art joint preservation.

Previously practicing at SOAR and Silicon Valley Orthopedics, Dr. Thabit brings a wealth of experience in orthopedic sports medicine to his new role. Dr. Thabit will continue to see patients at our Los Gatos and Menlo Park offices, starting September 17, 2024.
